The 2008 Agave Spirits Challenge event will be held from February 2nd through February 9th 2008, in Cancun, Mexico. The event location is the Royal Resorts - Club International.

All products and associated forms to be received by January 18th 2008. Any entries received after this date will not be returned and will be disqualified.

Eligibility

Any distillery, brand owner, importer, or wholesaler with an Agave Spirit that falls within one of our contest categories can submit entries to the Agave Spirit Challenge. Any spirit entered must be in good standings with their appropriate Regulatory Council. If you have any questions regarding your Agave products before entering as a participant, please use our contact form.

Entries into the Agave Spirits Challenge must be made through our official online entry form . Once the entry form is submitted electronically, you will be contacted with instructions on where to send your products.

Fees / Submittal

The entry fee for the Agave Spirits Challenge is only $200.00 USD per product, which will include both the Agave spirit review contest and the packaging/bottling contest (Cancun, MX). Each entry will be photographed and displayed on AGAVE.net for public viewing, showing awards won. Two 750ml or larger bottles are required for each submitted entry.

Awards are presented to products that receive an averaged review rating of above average or higher. For additional information on the event awards, please visit the Agave Event Awards page.

Judging

All Agave Spirit entries will be tasted blind by select judges with no affiliation with any Agave brand or product. The event judges invited to participate will be selected based on their ability to provide accurate, complete, and unbiased reviews. Permission

All Agave Spirit participants grant AGAVE.net and the Agave Spirits Challenge permission to display the entrant's name, brand name, distillery, importer, photo, and logo on the Agave Spirits Challenge web site (AGAVE.net) or marketing collateral for promotional purposes.

The Agave Spirits Challenge assumes all Spirits entered into the event are the property of the participant submitting the product. The Agave Spirits Challenge will not be liable for any product infringement on the part of the participant.

NOTE !

The Agave Spirits Challenge reserves the right to refuse service, or revoke any award from any participant, whose submittal does not fall within the guidelines set forth by their spirit regulatory council, whether before, during or after the judging is complete. Awards can change without notice, depending on the number of entries, or changes in sponsorship. The Agave Spirits Challenge shall not be held accountable or responsible for any damaged entries during shipping. Fees are non-refundable once the entry has been submitted.
